two cats picture invisible background

We may not

be together

In the way we

used to be

We are still

connected by a

Cord no eye can see

So whenever

you need to find me

We're never

far apart

If you look

beyond the horizon

And listen

with your heart

  Grief Center
Welcome to the Grief Center at AskDrHeather. We understand that losing a pet can be very difficult. Reaching out and sharing details and stories about your pet can help you heal.  Please share the story of your pet with us here.  We would like to hear it. You can submit a picture and obituary for your pet below and you can visit Sam's garden and plant a flower in memory of your pet. If you don't want to share your story, perhaps you can offer words of comfort to someone else who has lost a beloved pet.

Sams GardenWhen Sam, one of my first cats, died at 17 years old, I had him cremated and had his ashes returned to me.  When I got his ashes back, they came with a book mark that had a papier mache butterfly attached.  Embedded in the butterfly were wildflower seeds...if you plant the butterfly in the garden, a perpetual memorial to Sam will bloom.. alive and beautiful every spring.

Share the storyof your pet, plant a flower in memory of him or her, and create a lasting memorial in Sam's Garden.
